Bridge Builders

Noble Warriors going a lone highway,
Came at an evening cold and grey
To a chasm vast and deep and wide.

The warriors crossed at the twilight dim,
the sullen stream had no fear for them.

But they turned when safe on the other side,
And built a bridge to span the tide.

"Noble Warriors" said a fellow pilgrim near,
" you're wasting your strength with building here.
You're journey will end at the ending day
And never again will you pass this way,
You've crossed the chasm deep and wide,
why build you this bridge at evening tide?"

A Warrior lifted her head,
"Good friend, in this path I have come"
She said
"There follow'ith after me
Today,
A youth whose feet must pass this way.
This chasm that has been naught to me,
To fair haired youth
May pitfall be.
He too must cross in the twilight dim,
Good friend,
I am building this bridge for them."

ARMOR DOWN UPDATES

This post was guided by the 101st stanza of the Art of Peace, a book written by Morihei Ueshiba

Armor Down is backing Legislation "H.R. 3516" AKA "The Veterans and Armed Forces’ Health Promotion Act of 2013".

This bill will

• Expand the scope of holistic care education and research for signature wounds such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

• Establish complementary and alternative medicine pilot programs for mental health and pain management treatment for veterans.

• Create a grant pilot program to upgrade Veteran Service Organization facilities, expanding the reach of wellness services directly into economically strained communities.

What we need right now people to show their support for this legislation by signing this petition.
